She draws on various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as compassion, mindfulness and attachment-based therapies to assist clients. She supports her clients with kindness and curiosity as they explore their life experiences, enhance their understanding (of themselves and their relationships) and move towards their goals.

She also has a special interest in working with people who identify as having the trait of high sensitivity and supporting people who have been impacted by growing up in environments that were unfavourable for them. Julie is deeply aware of experiences that can be related to having the trait of high sensitivity and when she is supporting people, who identify as having this trait, she is able to provide therapy in a way that is sensitive to these experiences.

Julie is available for appointments at the Burleigh Heads Psychology Clinic Thursdays and Fridays 10am to 5pm.
